The Rockbridge Symphony, in partnership with Fine Arts in Rockbridge, is proud to present one of the area's finest chamber ensembles, The Lexington Brass Quintet, in concert to celebrate the Christmas season as only the magnificent sound of brass can. "A Lexington Brass Christmas" will take place on Saturday evening, December 18, at 7:30 PM in the beautiful sanctuary of the R.E. Lee Memorial Episcopal Church in Lexington. Admission is free and open to all, and a Free Will Offering will be collected during the performance. A significant portion of the proceeds will be donated by the Lexington Brass Quintet to The Rockbridge Symphony. All members of the Lexington Brass Quintet are or have been members of The Rockbridge Symphony: John Brodie and Peter Del Vecchio, trumpets; Christy Schucker, horn; Matthew Schucker, trombone; and Mark Swortzel, tuba. The concert will feature many popular and historic carols and songs of the Christmas season, specially arranged for brass quintet. Known for their relaxed and entertaining public concerts, The Lexington Brass Quintet promises that this very special performance will be no exception!
