Music Lessons

Rockbridge Music is proud to be able to offer musical instruction for a number of instruments, including acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, fiddle, piano, and banjo. We are also dedicated to serving our customers, which means if you are seeking instruction on an instrument for which we have no available teachers, we will be happy to work with you in finding a local teacher in the area to get you going!

Teachers

Amanda Baxter - guitar
Amanda Baxter offers beginner guitar lessons for both Children and Adults. Amanda started out playing classical guitar as a child and after reaching grade 5 with the Royal School of Music switched to folk. Amanda can teach many styles of music and has a positive style of teaching.

Dave Eakin - guitar, electric guitar, bass
Dave Eakin is a talented guitarist and vocalist, who has played in bands throughout his life. He remains an active performing musician to this day, appearing often in and around the Rockbridge Area in a duo act with acclaimed musician Steve Hoke. Dave teaches mostly acoustic and electric guitar, but also welcomes bass students as well. His musical expertise spans several genres, including, but not limited to rock, bluegrass, blues, and alternative.

Diana Schofield - guitar, bass, banjo, fiddle, mandolin
Diana Schofield is an accomplished, well-rounded musician, with at least some ability on nearly every instrument Rockbridge Music carries. While her primary areas of focus are guitar, bass, and banjo, she also offers instruction for fiddle, mandolin, and beginning piano as well. She has spent a life-time surrounded by music and enjoys many of its genres, including bluegrass, folk, traditional, alternative, jazz, rock, and contemporary. She also peforms regularly in and around the Rockbridge Area with several different bands.

Donna Williams - keyboard, piano
Donna Williams is a classically trained pianist with a degree in piano performance. Donna offers piano and keyboard instruction to beginners and advanced alike. She adapts her teaching methods and experience to each student, providing a very unique learning opportunity.
